Do you get enough fiber?

Did you know 97% of the population eats enough protein everyday? Sadly, only 3% of the population eats enough fiber!

Fiber is essential if you want to stay regular and helps to keep you fuller for longer. It can aid in weight loss and help to keep your digestion on track. Fiber can also help promote healthy gut bacteria, and research has shown that a high fiber diet can help prevent many diseases, including diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer and can help lower high cholesterol.
Fiber also helps to cleanse your colon and remove toxins from your body! It is truly amazing how much fiber does for our bodies, it is definitely an essential nutrient.

It is recommended that adults eat a minimum of 30-40 grams of fiber a day.
Most adults eat less than 15 grams a day, and that is not okay!

So, increase your fiber intake, and make your tummy (and whole body) feel better! Don’t forget to drink adequate amount of water, too!

Remember: Plant foods are the best and only source of adequate fiber. So please, dig in and don’t be scared of those fruits, veggies, legumes, grains, nuts + seeds!
